RSSB
Your right to social security coverage
Your employer must register you with RSSB and pay contributions every month. This covers you for retirement, workplace accidents, and health insurance.
What the law says
- Every employee must be registered with RSSB. This is the employer's legal responsibility, not yours.
- Contributions: you pay 3% of your salary; your employer pays 5%.
- RSSB coverage includes: pension (retirement income), workplace accident insurance, and medical insurance through Mutuelle de Santé.
- You have the right to see your contribution record at any time.
What you can do
- Ask your employer for your RSSB registration number.
- Check your contributions at any RSSB office or at rssb.rw.
- If your employer has not registered you, report it to MIFOTRA immediately.
